Austin Seferian-Jenkins should have learnt from Zach Mettenberger. The Bucs and Titans rookies have both had their run ins after Instagram faux-pas so far this season.
The quarterback Mettenberger was mocked by J.J Watt after being sacked by taking a selfie over him while the former LSU QB was on the ground. That was after Mettenberger gained media attention for constant selfies after being made the Titans starter.
And now the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end has found himself getting similar retribution.
On Sunday, after scoring on a 1-yard touchdown reception to give the Bucs a 17-16 lead early in the fourth quarter of their game against the Atlanta Falcons, Seferian-Jenkins drew a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty for standing on the football and posing like Captain Morgan, the logo for a brand of rum.
From that, the Falcons drove the full length of the field, with the help of Seferian-Jenkins because of whom they started from the 35-yard line to win the game. Well as you can imagine, Lovie Smith wasn't too happy about that.

Smith gave the rookie a talking to about the penalty, but then he had to repeat himself again today after the former Washington man went ahead and put the picture on Instagram anyway, with the caption “Everybody has a little captain in them. #Itsabucslife.”
“When guys make mistakes, I confront them immediately, which happened this time,” Smith said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. “How’s that?
“The penalty of course, right away. And when I found out about the Instagram, . . . I’m on Facebook a little bit so I can get pictures of my grandchild. Besides that, I’m not really into the rest of the stuff. Once it came to my attention, then I confronted him.”
Maybe Austin will be celebrating a little calmer next time he gets in the end-zone, and maybe doesn't celebrate a crucial penalty as much.
