Inter Milan defender Nemanja Vidic has been unfairly criticised, according to his agent Silvano Martina.
The player's agent has also played down suggestions linking his client with a swift return to Manchester United, reports the Express.
The Serbian centre-back agreed to join Milan earlier this year on a free transfer due to his contract expiring at Old Trafford, but since his move, he has struggled to settle in Italy and his performances haven't been up to scratch.
Vidic has so far made three glancing errors, including two on his debut, giving away a penalty and being sent off, but his agent has defended him and said that most of the criticism is unfair.
Due to the Bosman Ruling, Vidic agreed to join Milan earlier in the year after his contract at United entered it's final six months, and with no talks in the pipeline, he decided to end his stay in Manchester and agreed a contract with the Italian side.

However, reports last week emerged that Manchester United were keen on re-signing the veteran to help fix their defensive woes.
Louis Van Gaal is desperate to add more steal to his back-line, and he sees Vidic as a cheap, but experienced option, despite him leaving the club just a few months ago.
Due to injuries and suspensions, Van Gaal has been without a consistent back-line all season, and has had to give youth player Paddy McNair a regular first-team spot alongside midfielder, Michael Carrick.
With defensive issues a real problem at Old Trafford, re-signing Vidic in January was potentially on the cards, but the player's agent has quickly ruled out that speculation and has also defended his client, stating that the criticism is unfair.
"Since he [Vidic] got to Italy he's made one mistake, against Palermo," Silvano Martina insisted to Sportitalia.
"He was given a lot of responsibility, and his introduction to Italian football has been difficult with the red card at Torino.
"The criticism is badly targeted, he's a great player, and the best centre-back in the Italian League.
"Inter are suffering, so he is suffering.
"He doesn't deserve to be talked about all the time, whenever something goes wrong they blame him.
"Maybe it's because he's the team's best defender, time will tell if it was a good deal for Inter."
