Jessica Ennis-Hill wants her name removed from Sheffield United stand over Ched Evans

Published Add your comment

Jessica Ennis-Hill will ask Sheffield United to remove her name from a Bramall Lane stand if the club decides to offer convicted rapist Ched Evans a new contract. The Sheffield-born Olympic gold medallist had one side of the ground named after her in tribute to the Blades fan's heptathlon triumph at the London 2012 Games. Andy Murray was knocked out of the ATP World Tour Finals in emphatic fashion after being thrashed 6-0 6-1 by Roger Federer on Thursday evening. The British No.1 required a straight sets victory to progress to the final four at The O2, but was soundly beaten by the Swiss star in under one hour. And finally, Stuart Lancaster has defended his decision to include Courtney Lawes in his starting line-up as England prepare to face South Africa at Twickenham on Saturday.
