In partnership with the NFL in the UK

Former Baltimore Ravens Runningback Ray Rice and Cleveland Cavaliers Forward LeBron James have been targeted by the music industry.

Controversial rap star Eminem,  has released a new song called 'Shady CXVPHER' in which he launches attacks on the two men.

He makes reference to the events which saw Rice released from the Ravens franchise and eventually removed from the NFL.

Rice has never been far away from controversy for the last nine months and Eminem's controversial lyrics are surly another humiliating blow to the Rice household.

"I'll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice like Ray Rice in broad daylight, in plain sight of the elevator surveillance till the head is banged on the railing and then celebrate with the Ravens." - Eminem's controversial lyrics

Also launching an attack at singer Lana Del Rey, Eminem's victims are numerous but Rice is certainly the most harshly attacked.

He doesn't just stay in the world of the NFL however as he also makes reference to the NBA and LeBron James.

Speaking about the time four years ago when LeBron left Ohio for Miami, the rapper says:

"I need my headband like the guy who left Cleveland Ohio and went to South Beach with his talents."

Eminem doesn't stop there as he also claims that the new Cavaliers number 23 also

"screamed (expletive) you on the way out and winked with a smile."

Shots fired at both LeBron and Rice may go down well with his fans and may be missed by those unfamiliar with the NFL and NBA but will surely earn the star a negative reputation in Cleveland and Baltimore.

Eminem a big sport fan?

Eminem's comments in his newest song has received many different receptions based on the different audiences listening to it.

But this isn't the first time the rapper has brought the world of NFL into his music, with his 2013 song Legacy referencing the 2008 Detroit Lions.

Eminem, originally from Michigan talks about the year the Lions went 0-16 in the NFL in just one of his previous sports references.

It does appear rare however that the star makes reference to a positive sporting occasion and his latest song is clearly causing controversy once again.
