Ever since The Shield imploded, Dean Ambrose has done a fantastic job of ensuring he remains the number one face in the company. His battle with Seth Rollins was nothing short of incredible and big things are expected from his current feud with Bray Wyatt.

It’s always nice to receive praise when you’re doing something so well, and Dean Ambrose has received the highest of praises from a WWE legend.

PRAISE FROM JERICHO

Chris Jericho announced that he would be returning to the WWE in November for a handful of house shows and for this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown; where he hosted The Highlight Reel.

Chris Jericho has already heaped praise on Dean Ambrose once before, last month in an interview Chris Jericho stated that Dean Ambrose is the best face in the business and now Jericho has taken it a step further by praising Dean Ambrose in the middle of a WWE ring in front of the WWE Universe.

Jericho was brought back to the November tour of Europe as the WWE knew they lacked the big-names, with both Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns out with injury, but Jericho made it sound like he wasn’t even needed as the WWE already have the future of the business in their books.

THE NEXT BIG THING

After a house show in Glasgow, Chris Jericho got on the microphone and put the former United States Champion over like never before, saying:

Every couple years, the powers that be will say, ‘this is the new guy, this is the new face, this is the new chosen one.’ I’m saying this to you because I mean it, not because I was told to say it. I believe the next big things in the WWE is this man right here, Dean Ambrose.”

The Glasgow crowd made it clear they respected Jericho for a comment like that whilst also showing props to Ambrose who has worked hard to make sure the end of The Shield didn’t mean the end for Ambrose.

Jericho went on to say that he doesn’t know whether he will be around in 15 years but guaranteed that Dean Ambrose will be.

“The Lunatic Fringe is going to take over the WWE for many years to come. And that’s the truth, or else I would never, ever say that again!”

Earlier in the week Chris Jericho competed at a house show in Newcastle, where he picked up a victory over Bray Wyatt in a Newcastle street fight in what has been a successful European tour for Chris Jericho.

He also provided great entertainment in the opening segment of Friday Night SmackDown, hosting the highlight reel with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon his guests.

Jericho also recently mentioned how he wants Team Authority to reign supreme over Team Cena, as he’s unsure who could run the WWE if Team Cena were victorious.

BELIEVE IN DEAN AMBROSE

The moment – which was captured on video – was a great one for the audience who showed their appreciation for both men before they provided some more entertainment for the fans.

As Chris Jericho’s music hit the public address system, the fans went wild as both men start to air guitar with steel chairs.

It was a great moment to see a legend in Chris Jericho who has achieved so much in the business genuinely show respect to Dean Ambrose and reassure the fans that the WWE is in safe hands with stars like Dean Ambrose.

Even though his feud with Bray Wyatt hasn’t hit the heights we expected it to, the fans shouldn’t give up on either man. If a legend like Chris Jericho believes in The Lunatic Fringe then all of the WWE Universe should believe in him too.
