Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have been told they will have to work very hard if they are to have any chance of beating Real Madrid to the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus next summer.

Tense Chase

According to the Daily Star, Jose Mourinho is hot on the case of the German forward and has the step on all three of Arsene Wenger, Louis van Gaal and Brendan Rodgers in terms of the Premier League competition for his signature.

However, the report runs with quotes from Spanish agent Francois Gallado, who claims that Carlo Ancelotti has his heart set on signing Reus next summer, when he is certain to leave the Bundesliga side.

It was revealed that a clause in Reus’ contract sets his buyout clause to only €25million, but only comes into play next summer and BVB have been trying to convince him to sign a new deal. To real people that is a massive amount, but Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool can afford that no problem.

Gallardo is convinced that the Santiago Bernabeu will be Reus’ destination next summer and that the deal to take him there will be decided as early as December.
