Santos have produced another yet another exciting wonderkid who has the attention of Europe's top clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona.

The teenage talent in question is none other than Gabriel Barbosa, an 18-year-old with the world at his feet and a quite staggering €40 million release clause to match.

Barbosa made his first-team bow at just 16 and as given his favoured as roaming forward has unsurprisingly already had to take on the moniker of the 'new Neymar', but his big-money move to Europe may well come much sooner than his predecessors.

Barca have first rights on Selecao starlet

Barcelona have first option on Barbosa, a clause they included in the deal to sign Neymar, but a transfer ban imposed on the Catalan giants has left the door open to rival interest from the Premier League.

The Express believe that if Arsenal, United or Chelsea decide to turn their scouting brief into a concrete offer of around £24m next summer this stunning transfer is very much on.

Contract situation creates chance for deal

Santos would ideally like to keep Barbosa thriving in their first-team for a few more reasons to drive the Selecao starlet's price tag up still further, but his contract situation could mean they have to cash in far earlier than expected.

Barbosa's current deal is set to expire in 18 months and negotiations are yet to begin over fresh terms, despite the youngster scoring nine times in the Brazilian championship last season.

A blockbuster deal before the start of next season still looks hugely problematic, but if Barbosa keeps banging the goals in expect transfer speculation to increase unless Santos can their new prodigy to sign a new long-term deal.
