3. Xherdan Shaqiri
Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has made it very clear through his selection policy this season that Xherdan Shaqiri is a peripheral figure that could be sold if the price is right, but don't expect the Swiss star to be salivating over the prospect of an £18m switch to United in January.
Shaqiri desperately needs a fresh challenge that gives him top billing, with his unique blend of pace, strength and technical quality currently largely going to waste on Bayern's bench.
Quite frankly though a January move to Old Trafford wouldn't solve that problem, because United already have a whole host of attacking midfield options giving Louis van Gaal genuine selection headache's week-in, week-out.
Van Gaal would surely not waste precious transfer funds strengthening perhaps the only area of his squad which is already fully stocked, so Shaqiri looks far more likely to join Liverpool or Juventus in truth.
