Wrestling legends "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Triple H could go head-to-head at WrestleMania 31, according to inquisitr.com.
In fact, it's been suggested that the Texas Rattlesnake, who has made a number of one off appearances in the industry since his retirement, could become the new WWE General after this Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Survivor Series, which is one of the four original events produced by WWE, will see Team Authority take on Team Cena in a tag-team tag-team elimination match.
If Team Authority are beaten at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, then Triple H and Co. will be out of power after Vince McMahon's added stipulation to the clash.
Austin for GM
And it has now been suggested that Steve Austin could take up the role as GM of the industry in next week's Raw. This, then, may well lead to a long feud between two WWE greats as Triple H and Austin could eventually be placed in an epic showdown.
Austin, despite retiring from the company because of injury, looks set to have one last WWE match, which could take place at the Grandest Stage of them All.
To make matters even more interesting, it appears that Triple H will be handed the chance to regain his status as the GM of WWE at Mania if he can claim the victory over Austin.
One last match?
It remains to be seen as to whether the duo will eventually have one last showdown, but for now the WWE Universe will be gearing themselves up for this Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view.
The majority of fans will be hoping that Team Authority finally lose all power, but McMahon and Co. could yet have a twist up their sleeve. That twist may well be "Stone Cold" Steven Austin...
It looks set to be an interesting next week or so in the company, with the dynamics of industry on the verge of a huge change.
