Team Cena members could be fired if they lose at Survivor Series

Published 3 Comments

Just over two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw, the chairman of the board Vince McMahon made his return to WWE television for one night where he dropped a bombshell to the WWE Universe but more importantly to The Authority.

At first the traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match didn’t have anything hanging in the balance, until Vince McMahon decided it was time to shake things up and added a stipulation, if Team Authority loses as Survivor Series to Team Cena; then The Authority will no longer be in power.

This prompted fans to speculate on how Team Cena will lose, believing that there is no chance in hell Team Authority will give up power so soon – that is until a new stipulation was added on the Friday Night SmackDown tapings on Tuesday night.

This article contains spoilers which means it has information and facts concerning the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown. If you don’t want to know about the events then please read on with caution or not at all.

Did we really expect it to fall in favour of Team Cena? It was never going to be an easy journey for either of the teams and even though Sheamus is out of the match with injury, he should count himself lucky as he will avoid the punishment if Team Cena does go on to lose.

On the Friday Night SmackDown tapings this week, John Cena and his team cut a promo on how they won’t have any fear heading into the match against Team Authority on Sunday at the Survivor Series event. But Triple H didn’t allow Cena to have the last laugh; announcing that if Team Authority reign supreme then Team Cena will be fired.

It was a good move by Triple H and the writers to include this stipulation, because at first it seemed like everyone was predicting Team Authority would be victorious but now they have added a different element into the match where fans will be torn between the two, even if it doesn't seem like it.

At first fans all believed that Team Authority will walk all over Team Cena and keep Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in charge but even though the new stipulation has been announced – it doesn’t automatically mean Team Cena will win.

Team Authority has assembled the strongest, most powerful team in history with the likes of Rusev, Luke Harper and Mark Henry joining the team so it will take something really special from John Cena and his team to overcome Team Authority. But The Authority could still leave as winners, because it’s not as if the members of Team Cena will actually get fired.

Perhaps they will stay away from TV for a week or two before the powers from above will bring the superstars back. With John Cena; we know he is pursuing other ventures and it could allow him time to recover before coming back to challenge John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Whatever unfolds at Survivor Series – it is set to be an entertaining main event. Two huge stipulations, rumours of a heel return and who knows whether The Viper will attack on Sunday.

WWE fans – who do you think will win at Survivor Series? Are you with Team Authority? Or Team Cena? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
