Tonight we will see the 2014 version of Survivor Series and it has been shaped up to be one of
the most controversial of all time.
It will be the 27th Survivor Series of WWE history and the 2nd straight event where the WWE
Universe will not be treated to a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has been absent from our screens since
defending his title against John Cena at Night of Champions.
With the big stipulation in place ahead of the Team Cena vs Team Authority five-on-five
elimination tag team match, could there be bad news in store for the champion?
Should Team Authority lose tonight, they will officially be out of power and depending on who
takes over control of the WWE, Lesnar’s cushion of protection could go with them.

Earlier this year we saw Daniel Bryan get injured and become victim of the 30-day defence rule which states that the champion must defend his title every 30 days or he has the possibility to be stripped of the title.
Lesnar has now not even been seen for almost 2 months and clearly the Authority are holding
back on imposing the rule on the Beast Incarnate.
However if the Authority is dethroned and a predominantly face character takes over the
company, what will that mean for Lesnar.
Some of the names being announced such as Mick Foley would certainly fill that role and would have the power to bring Lesnar back into the picture.
Lesnar’s vacation may soon be over and it is widely believed that Team Cena will emerge
victorious at Survivor Series.
He has however already been booked onto RAW shows in December and is rumoured to be
facing John Cena at TLC next month.
Who knows who will take over or how Lesnar will be re-introduced to the ring, but I think it is fair to say that we are not far from the Beast’s return.
The stakes are high at Survivor Series for both teams, of course the Authority are out of power
should they lose but Team Cena are in it for more than just their reputations.
Triple H announced Friday night on Smackdown that four of the five members of Team Cena will be fired if they lose on Sunday.
Ryback, Big Show, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan could all be set to take a bit of time off of our screens should they lose at Survivor Series.
As for John Cena himself, he won’t be fired but he will receive a lot of punishment at the hands of the Authority until he quits which if history has proven anything, just won’t happen.
