LeGarrette Blount made the evitable trip to the endzone on his return to the New England Patriots line-up on Sunday night after a crazy week culminated with a three-yard touchdown by the powerful tailback.
Blount was fired by Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday following his decision to ignore coaches and take himself out of the Monday Night Football win against Tennessee.
He showed a clear dissatisfaction with the Steelers decision to hand Le’Veon Bell the ball for the whole game, leaving Blount unused.
Despite having one of their tailbacks run in four touchdowns on the ground last week, New England saw fit to bring him back on Thursday and in the first half Blount powered into the endzone. SEE LINK FOR THE TD.
With help from Blount, the Pats currently lead the 24-6 at half-time against the Lions.
