Alexis Sanchez under-performed because of too much sex

Published 22 Comments

Alexis Sanchez failed to produce the goods against Premier League rivals Manchester United on Saturday because he's been having too much sex, reports the Daily Star.

The Chilean forward, who has taken England's elite division by storm since arriving from Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer, struggled to find his best form this past weekend, and it now appears that it's down to his bedroom antics.

In fact, La Cuarta, a newspaper in his homeland of Chile, has claimed that he was tired after starring on the international scene against the duo of Venezuela and Uruguay.

Tiredness is one thing, but it appears that Sanchez was also feeling lethargic against the Red Devils. It appears, then, that he's been enjoying himself a little too much with girlfriend Laia Grassi.

The blonde bombshell may well be one of the newest WAGs on the block, but she's arguably in a league of her own. In truth, it's difficult to blame Sanchez for taking his eye off the ball in preparation for the showdown with United.

There's no doubt about it, the best claim from La Cuarta was suggesting that the forward was like a cat who would have struggled to keep up with a tortoise...

In truth, though, Sanchez wasn't the only Arsenal player struggling at the Emirates this past weekend, as Arsene Wenger's side were beaten for the third time in the league this season.

Arsenal struggles

The north London outfit are now sitting in eighth position and are already as many as 15 points behind table-toppers Chelsea. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, will certainly be hoping that his star man has a restful couple of days ahead of the club's next fixture.

In fact, Sanchez and Co. don't have to wait long to make amends after their latest setback, as they play host to German outfit Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening. A victory for Arsenal against Jurgen Klopp's side will see the Gunners qualify for the Round of 16 of the competition.
