WWE legendary commentator Jim Ross has spoken out about the debut of Sting after the WCW legend appeared on WWE's Survivor Series pay-per-view event on Sunday night.
The news was arguably the worst kept secret in WWE after the story leaked over 24 hours before the start of Survivor Series.
WrestleMania match expected
It was an epic debut by Sting as he completely destroyed Triple H. And Jim Ross believes that Sting has much more than just a debut in the pipeline, with Ross expecting Sting to compete at WrestleMania - something which Ross says Sting deserves.
"I’m a Sting fan from back in the day and believe that if his first and perhaps only match in WWE is at WrestleMania 31," Jim Ross revealed. "The man has earned a WrestleMania Moment without question.”
Ross not happy about Sting debut leaks
Jim Ross's initial comments came before Sunday night when Sting made his official debut in WWE as he interrupted the main event at Survivor Series.
By the time Survivor Series got underway, Sting's appearance at Survivor Series was the worst kept secret in WWE.
Leaked reports of his WWE debut had hit the web almost 48 hours before the big pay-per-view event, but that didn't stop an epic show stopping performance from the former WCW star.
But rather than revelling in news of Sting's expected WWE debut, Jim Ross spoke before the pay-per-view about his disappointment at the fact that the news had been leaked.
“My Twitter timeline lit up Friday night with the conveniently, timed info/rumor that Sting would make a ‘surprise’ appearance at Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series. I have no idea if that’s true or not and I’d have preferred if the info, true or not, would not have leaked out. I’m not a major fan of the ‘Jardine’s’ aka spoilers."
