The first episode of Monday Night RAW following the dramatic events of Survivor Series was certainly one to remember as some big names appeared out of nowhere.
Despite losing all their power at Survivor Series, the Authority opened the show by coming to the ring and promising that in three weeks, the WWE Universe would be begging for them to come back.
They were met out in the ring but currently injured former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan who led his famous 'YES' chant as the Authority left the arena for the last time.
Bryan would then reveal that he had a plan for every member of Team Authority however and would leave a large part of the show down to the WWE Universe.
Three members of the team were booked into matches later in the show but for Kane and Rusev, there were some interesting scenarios given to them.
- Was Survivor Series bigger than we thought for Dolph Ziggler
- Did the WWE make big mistakes with Survivor Series and and Sting
- Superstar wrestler set for huge championship run
Kane was told he would no longer be the Director of Operations and would instead be the Director of Food and Beverage and was put to work behind a concessions stand and renamed Consessions Kane.
Rusev was issued with the ultimatum of either defending his United States Title in a battle royal against the entire WWE locker room or coming to the ring to say the US pledge of allegiance in front of the American flag.
As it turned out, neither would happen despite Bryan sending WWE legend Sergeant Slaughter to supervise as Jack Swagger would save the Sergeant from an imminent attack by Rusev.
As RAW came to the close, the lights faded, and the typical sound was heard from the anonymous RAW General manager as the podium was once again set up at ringside.
They promised order and discipline would be restored next week on a show they referred to as Cyber Monday.
John Cena and Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble
Bryan's stipulation for Seth Rollins was that he would be in a 3-on-2 handicap match and the WWE Universe would choose his partners.
Out of the choices of Mark Henry and Luke Harper, Mark Henry and Kane or Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble, the WWE Universe were unforgiving.
The match had Mercury and Noble star in several comical moments but also show their skill as ex-wrestlers.
Cena and Ziggler won as the both covered a member of 'J+J Security simultaneously and Rollins watched from outside the ring.
Bryan himself would throw Rollins back into the ring as he would then be assaulted by Cena and Ziggler before the ominous message from the new General Manager.
Luke Harper vs Dean Ambrose (Intercontinental Championship match)
Daniel Bryan's punishment for Luke Harper was that he would defend his Intercontinental Championship against the Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose.
This was a physical match that Harper would get himself disqualified in meaning Ambrose would win and Harper would retain his title.
As Ambrose looked set to use tables, ladders and chairs on Harper, Bray Wyatt attacked Ambrose and buried him under chairs behind the announce table like Ambrose had done to him the night before.
The Big Show explains
After betraying Team Cena at Survivor Series, Big Show tried to explain his actions claiming that he made a mistake, weighed the options and predicted a loss and deserves a mulligan.
He then turned angry and challenged anyone in back to come and say something if they had a problem and who should come but Show's partner on Team Cena, Erick Rowan.
As Big Show tried to talk him out of trying to fight the giant by treating him like a child, Rowan removed the sheep mask and claimed he didn't like bullies before attacking Big Show and forcing him to retreat.
The Miz and Damien Mizdow vs Gold and Stardust (Tag Team Titles match)
Miz and Mizdow were forced to defend their titles a night after winning them in a match that summed the pair up.
Miz got injured and Mizdow did all the work to keep the former champions down but Miz would get the sneak tag and get the pin as they retained their titles.
Ryback vs Mark Henry
Daniel Bryan's final piece of vengeance dished to team Authority was to schedule Mark Henry in a match against Ryback.
The big guy would attack Henry before the bell rings and from then wouldn't really struggle to pick up the win.
Brie Bella vs AJ Lee
As the situation with the Bella twins becomes more confusing, Brie was set to take on the former Divas Champion AJ Lee.
Nikki caused the distraction which allowed her sister to get the win and AJ swore after the match that this issue wasn't over.
The New Day is on the calendar
For weeks we have been seeing Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston on promos for a New Day.
Tonight we saw the first one with all three in at the same time and it advertised that the New Day is coming to RAW next week.
Adam Rose and the Bunny vs Tyson Kidd and Natalya
A mixed gender mixed species tag match saw the Bunny once again Cost Adam Rose a match as Tyson Kidd's recent good form continued.
Fandango vs Justin Gabriel
Fandango made his return to RAW with his new dance partner Rosa Mendes with Fandango getting the win as he looks much more physical.
