Daniel Bryan returned to the WWE ring on Monday Night Raw, taking on the role of GM for one night much to the delight of the packed our arena.
But while the much loved WWE Superstar managed to whip the crowd up into a frenzy - bringing back the 'Yes!' movement in the process - fans were still left disappointed by the fact that Bryan was unable to display his signature wrestling moves and get more involved in the action.
Having been out of action for several months now after undergoing surgery in May Bryan's appearance on Monday left everyone hoping he was getting closer to full fitness. And now, speaking to Michael Cole this week, the Superstar has given fans an update on exactly where he (and his injury) currently stand.
"Things are going really well right now," Bryan told Cole.
"I'm feeling good, it's not actually a feel issue it's recovering the strength in my right arm. It's a nerve issue in my neck...long story, nerves affect strength, whatever."
"I'm in the process of trying to get that strength back. When I'll be back? I don't know unfortunately."

Pressed by Cole about a potential timetable for a comeback Bryan expressed his frustration that he couldn't give a definitive answer.
"I wish I could tell you I'll be back on Monday. I wish I could tell you I'd be back for the Royal Rumble and I wish and prey I could tell you I'd be there for WrestleMania...because its going to be magic. But I can't do that.
"There is no timetable for my return right now."
One saving grace did come late in the interview when Bryan refused to deny what would be a momentous WrestleMania appearance, admitting with a smile on his face that he could not rule it out.
Some have speculated that the WWE are simply holding back Daniel Bryan for a huge return at either the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania but, unlike other wrestlers currently 'injured' such as Randy Orton, Bryan's issues regarding rehabilitation are legitimate.
All he, the WWE fans, and the entire WWE Universe can do is sit back and hope things go according to plan.
