Andy Murray doesn't really strike you as the sort of guy who enjoys the limelight, but the British no.1's agent has revealed that he and girlfriend Kim Sears have got engaged, merely hours after announcing major changes to his coaching team.
Murray and Sears have been together for nine years and are finally due to marry after the two-time Grand Slam champion proposed last week.
The announcement ends drawn-out speculation over the last couple of years. Sears is a regular at her now-fiance's matches alongside Andy's mother, and recent Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Judy, who described the 26-year-old as "the best thing to happen" to her son.
No further details have been released at this stage, therefore the date and venue of their impending marriage remain unclear. An official word from the man himself is not yet forthcoming, the only statement made today was about the sackings of two members of his coaching staff; Dani Vallverdu and Jez Green.
The engagement news was met with a mixture of congratulatory messages and jokes, as you might expect with the former Wimbledon champion, who divides popular opinion.

Betting company Paddy Power, who so often engage in sports-related banter, posted a picture onto their Twitter of a glum-looking Murray with the caption: 'I'm the happiest man alive,' - seemingly to mock the 27-year-old for his famous lack of expression.
With Murray being one of Britain's wealthiest athletes, a grand event wouldn't be completely out of the question, he could even get his mum to help out with the first dance.
Judy was finally voted off the BBC Dancing show, 'Strictly', last week, but she could probably teach Andy a thing or two. They could even extend their lesson which featured on a VT for one of the tennis coach's performances in the competition.
Murray's joyous announcement today sees him follow in the footsteps of some of his on-court rivals too. Novak Djokovic got married to his long-term partner back in the summer and then celebrated the birth of his first child just before winning a third consecutive ATP World Tour Finals.
Who knows, children may be the next step for Murray and Sears. As well as Djokovic, Roger Federer welcomed his second set of twins into the world earlier this year with wife Mirka.
Sears may not want to copy Mirka too much though. Roger's wife hit the headlines for the wrong reasons at the Finals in London recently. Her heckling of Federer's opponent and compatriot Stan Wawrinka apparently caused a post-match argument between the two players.
All was resolved, however, as together they helped Switzerland to a first Davis Cup win over the weekend.
