A mastermind performance from Yannick Bolasie at the weekend against Liverpool has influenced Brendan Rodgers to show interest in signing the 25-year-old during the January transfer window in desperation to rescue the Reds' shocking season start.

Since signing from Bristol City after a progression through the stages of English football, Bolasie has rarely made regular appearances for Crystal Palace, so the Democratic Republic of Congo international will be more than pleased to feature consistently for the Eagles under Neil Warnock who has praises of the winger.

"He's an unbelievable talent, he really is," he told Sky Sports after the vital 3-1 triumph over a weak Liverpool side, searching for their first league victory since October 19 when they narrowly defeated Queens Park Rangers.

But it was Palace's opponents on Sunday who are reportedly showing interest in signing Bolasie from the London based club, according to the Daily Express.

His mere four goals in 84 appearances falsely reflects the 25-year-old's sheer prowess in dangerous dribbling, sharp shooting and tantalizing trickery.

His move to the Eagles was dealt over just £500,000 but it is expected that Bolasie will be making any move away from the club for a much higher sum of money due to his increase in quality over the previous couple of years.

That is of course if Neil Warnock is willing to sell him. With his contract at Selhurst Park running until 2017, the Palace gaffer is desperate to hang onto the wizard as he announced to reporters on Thursday in a press conference.

"He is made to measure for Palace and Palace only. A move to another club would ruin him" as the 65-year-old defended Bolasie like he was a child of his own.

His comments became more defensive as the questions continued to be pelted at Warnock. He strongly replied "he won't be leaving in January" to any questions concerning the future of the attacking midfielder.

Liverpool's search for a wide man continues as the long-term injury of Marco Reus has soured Brendan Rodgers' interest. There are currently no fresh names that have cropped up, but it won't be long before the rumour mill is back to work, providing us with juicy gossip regarding Liverpool's uncertain future.
