Lionel Messi topped off a perfect week by beating Barcelona teammate Neymar in a keepy-up challenge.
The Argentine has become the Champions League and La Liga all-time top goal scorer in the last seven days and in a new video published yesterday he overcame another challenge in the shape of Neymar.
As part of an event organised by Audi the two Barcelona stars had a minute to touch the ball as times as they could to recharge it with energy.
The contest didn’t get off to a great start as Neymar lost control of his ball, which then knocked into his opponent’s and went off the stage. However Messi quickly recovered and produced an epic comeback to generate 1004 watts in 60 seconds compared to the Brazilian’s 989.
The event featured 23 members of the first team spilt into two groups led by club veterans Andres Iniesta and Xavi. Other challenges involved cycling, a reactions test and a driving slalom, which both groups contested.
This time Messi was unable to prevent his team’s defeat and despite a strong line-up that included Luis Suarez and Dani Alves, Iniesta’s side were defeated by Neymar, Javier Mascherano and Co over the course of the day.
