After weeks of constant promos throughout RAW and Smackdown, Kofi Kingston, Big E Langston and Xavier Woods have finally brought about a New Day.
We've seen their choir singing promos and everyone was wondering what the actual plan was for these three big superstars.
Well that plan has now manifested as The New Day debuted on Smackdown tonight in a six man tag team match.
In a year that has been fatal for three factions in the WWE, it looks like our newest has now debuted just before the end of the year.
The Shield, Evolution and the Wyatt Family have all disappeared this year but now the WWE Universe has a new faction to cheer.
- The WWE Universe send a big message about who should run RAW
- Who will WWE punish for CM Punk's outburst?
- Big name superstars set to return in the next month
The New Day came out to the choir music we have been hearing in all of their promos and were all wearing matching outfits.
Donning the sky blue uniforms, the WWE's newest faction emerged and were dominant in their first match.
Facing the team of Curtis Axel, Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil the New Day showed their combination of aerial ability, strength and smarts in the match.
Despite having their debut, it may not have been the biggest news surrounding the group on the night.
Darkness is coming
The New Day's debut was exciting and after their win they partied with the fans and even the commentators but there was something more sinister to come.
Former tag team champions Gold and Stardust cut one of their regular promos in the back surrounded by gold lights.
Stardust spoke of the teams anger and agony and how everything has turned to darkness.
Goldust then ends the promo with a very ominous declaration that could be aimed at the new faction.
"Darkness falls on the new day" - Goldust
So it looks like the New Day could already be set for their first big rivalry against the former Tag Team champions.
If that is the case, there is a definite numbers game in play so could the strange siblings be set to recruit a third member?
