It’s a fine Saturday for football as the Premier League’s finest return to action in a bid to improve their positions within England’s elite division.
Okay, maybe it’s not ‘fine’ but when is the weather fine in England? Nevertheless fans will be waiting for their respective fixtures with eager anticipation, with the league’s big boys all playing games that are, on paper at least, fairly winnable.
Manchester United travel to Hull City safe if the knowledge that a win will allow them to retain their current spot within the top four, whilst bitter rivals Liverpool host Stoke City as they attempt to stop the rot which has quickly settled at Anfield.
Meanwhile Jose Mourinho’s high-flying Chelsea travel to 14th-placed Sunderland in the late kick off, and it’s fair to say the majority of viewers will expect the Blues to return to Stamford Bridge with another three points in the bag.
It’s an away tie which sees Arsenal visit The Hawthorns today, and Arsene Wenger will be looking to build upon the success enjoyed mid-week against Borussia Dortmund, whilst at the same time banishing the memories of the disappointing loss to United last week.
As always the papers have been out in force carrying the latest breaking team news and transfer gossip.
