Earlier this week former WWE Champion CM Punk sat down with his friend Colt Cabana on his Art of Wrestling podcast and his claims have certainly caused a stir in the WWE.
Whether it’s arguments between fans of CM Punk and those who ridiculed him for ‘walking out’ of the company, to the WWE personnel themselves; everyone has heard exactly what CM Punk had to say when he finally spoke up about what really happened in the build-up to his infamous walk out in January.
CM Punk didn’t hold back on anyone or anything in the WWE, making his true feelings clear. From not being given the credit for granting wishes for the Make-A-Wish foundation, to accusing Ryback of being on steroids and legitimately trying to injure Punk, CM Punk ensured his side of the story was finally heard and he even provided listeners with great impressions of Vince McMahon and Triple H.
Who knows just how much of this is true as the WWE haven’t really provided any information as to what really happened, and the likelihood is that they won’t dig up the CM Punk situation but they will – and have been – forced to respond to claims surrounding the treatment their medical staff provide for talents.
In the podcast CM Punk was very critical of Vince McMahon and Triple H; claiming the latter needed Punk more than Punk needed Triple H. One of the reasons Punk had enough was because he didn’t want to face off against Triple H at WrestleMania XXX and felt he had done enough to warrant a main event match after he failed to have his main event moment against The Undertaker the year before – even though both men stole the show.

TRIPLE H WANTS TO ‘KILL’ CM PUNK
Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com mentioned something a source had told him, that Vince McMahon is ‘upset but not fuming’ and is upset that the CM Punk departure went down the way it did and went so public that the likes of Yahoo and The Washington Post have picked up on it.
He also mentioned that the source told him Triple H on the other hand is furious with CM Punk, that ‘Triple H wants to kill Punk’ was the exact text message he had received and that Triple H and his wife Stephanie have such an abject hatred for CM Punk.
It will be interesting to see if CM Punk has anything more to say when he answers questions sent in by fans when he joins Colt Cabana again next week; if Triple H’s hatred is brought up then Punk might reveal a little bit more than he already has; some might even suggest that Triple H is furious with CM Punk because everything he has said could be true.
Even though Triple H is furious, there has been a positive reaction to the podcast from superstars and legends such as Mick Foley. A source has reported that a large number of WWE talent have already listened to it, including management and even the developmental stars and the general feeling is that even though they’re not Punk’s biggest fan, they’re glad someone has finally spoken up as there could be serious consequences if they spoke up whilst under WWE contract.
The locker room has been referred to as a high school with the amount of back stabbing going on every single week.
Colt Cabana will also have heat on him from the WWE as he allowed Punk a platform to speak on; and even though it probably wasn’t going to happen he will probably never get a call-up to the WWE where he worked as Scotty Goldman between 2007 and 2009.
The WWE have also recently been hyping up the Stone Cold Steve Austin podcast where Vince McMahon will be his guest and there is a chance he could ask McMahon about the interview with Punk, so it will be interesting to see what the chairman has to say regarding that situation.
