Chelsea, United, Arsenal and Liverpool hearts are all set to be broken when the news emerges that their transfer target, Zakaria Bakkali, looks set to join Atletico Madrid in about six weeks time.
The Belgian is having a torrid time currently with PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie after the club president, Marcel Brands, labelled the youngster as "disrespectful" to the club after failing to sign a new contract in the summer.
He said: "[Bakkali has] not treated the club with respect", reports the Daily Express.
Subsequent to a fallout with the club, his game time at the Philips Stadium has been somewhat cut off after making no appearances since the start of the season.
With three goals in eighteen appearances which came in the same game, making him the youngest player to score a hat-trick in the Eredivisie, the 18-year-old had a very prosperous future ahead of him, but a bust up with the president and staff at the Philips Stadium have made his chances with PSV almost impossible.
Despite attraction from some of the Premier League's biggest clubs including unbeaten Chelsea and current champions as well as Arsenal and Liverpool, the Belgian is set to cancel out a move to England, and instead jet off to sunny Spain to play under Diego Simeone at current La Liga winners, Atletico Madrid.
At such a young age paired with his fallout with his club, Simeone is on the tail of one of the bargains of his life with Bakkali rated as one of the world's upcoming stars.
Atletico are prepared to offer a mere £1.5 million to PSV for the mastermind winger, but the deal is expected to be accepted by manager, Phillip Cocu.
The 18-year-old just seems to be kickstarting his international career. He may have only received one cap for the Belgian first team, but he can expect many more in the near future after an impressive debut.
But Manchester United, one team in line for Bakkali, still have a shining light at the end of their transfer tunnel.
After ruling out the chance to pen a new contract with current club Lille, Rio Mavuba is being linked with a switch to Old Trafford in order to solve an ever growing injury crisis surrounding the midfield.
It is thought that Louis van Gaal is willing to bring the Frenchman to United in order to bring a little more experience to the squad after he claimed there wasn't enough after their 3-0 victory against Hull on Saturday.
The Daily Express reports that Mavuba told France Football "I do not want to listen to my agents unless there is something concrete from Lille", strongly suggesting a move away from the club after a remarkable 6 year stint in Ligue 1.
