Tiger Woods aiming to ‘beat the golf course’

There’s not long to wait now for the return of Tiger Woods. Tee times have been announced for the Hero World Challenge taking place in Isleworth this weekend. The 18-player invitational will host a strong field, with seven of the top eleven players in the world rankings.

Henrik Stenson will tee off with Justin Rose, Jordan Spieth is with Patrick Reed, and Bubba Watson is paired with Rickie Fowler. But all eyes will be on the 12.15 pairing of Tiger Woods and Jason day. With both players returning from injury lay-offs, Tiger was quick to highlight that his success will not ride on physical dominance of his opponents.

Nonetheless, Woods was cautious about building too much expectation on his return, the 14 time major champion has played down his chances of winning his 6th Hero World Challenge, and seemed more intent on learning about himself during the weekend.

And finally…Rory McIlroy, who will not play at the Hero World Challenge, has been spending his free time in Oregan. Nike were letting him hit balls towards their HQ, when a stray shot gave some of the driving spectators a scare!

Well that’s it from us today but we’ll be back tomorrow with more stories. In the meantime, join us at our website, and you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
