A few weeks ago Dolph Ziggler was forced to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Luke Harper.
Dolph lost this match and his title the week before he was the sole survivor on Team Cena at Survivor Series and has since continued the rivalry with the former member of The Wyatt Family with Dolph attacking Harper with a ladder this week on Raw.
Dolph seems to have received something of a push as of late, that has seen him play a part in the Raw main events along with John Cena. And when he faced Luke Harper last week on Smackdown he did pick up the victory but it was via DQ meaning he didn't get his title back, but he gains another shot next weekend.
The ladder match stipulation doesn't come as much of a surprise given that a ladder was used in their back and forth exchange on Raw. The Intercontinental Championship will be hanging above the ring for the bout and the winner will be the wrestler who an climb the ladder and retrieve the championship belt.
There has already been a tables match announced between John Cena and Seth Rollins with the added stipulation that if Cena loses he also loses his number one contendership to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and his match with Brock Lesnar at The Royal Rumble.

There has also been a chairs match announced between Ryback and Kane after their recent problems whilst the headliner for TLC right now sees a traditional TLC match between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt.
This week it was also announced that The Usos will face newly crowned Tag Team Champions The Miz and Damien Mizdow, for those titles and Erick Rowan and Big Show will collide in a steel stairs match.
After the giant turned on Team Cena at Survivor Series, it seems Rowan took the most offence to this and the steel steps match is what has come out of this. The rules of the steel steps match are set to be announced, as to whether it's pinfall, submission or steel stairs have to be used by the winner.
TLC is known as one of the most physical and brutal pay-per-views of the year and given the announced matches so far, WWE are living up to the hype as the final event of the year is now just over a week away.
