CM Punk stories just aren't going away. Ever since the former Superstar appeared on a podcast to get some closure he has been the centre of the wrestling universe.
And it seems that Vince McMahon has drawn the ire of the so called 'Best called in the World' yet again.
Punk was on good friend and fellow pro wrestler Colt Cabana's podcast once again for what was essentially part two of his appearance. One of the most revealing things that were said on the show, was how Punk completely flat out rejects Vince McMahon's apology for receiving his firing papers on his wedding day.
"I don't wanna hear it was a coincidence, I don't wanna hear lawyers didn't talk to talent relations," Punk told Cabana. "I talked to Hunter on the 11th, on the 13th FedExed overnight, I got a document that was dated the 12th. My wife asked for that time off so she could get married. The weekend after her honeymoon, she was back on TV."
"They knew. If the apology was sincere, you wouldn't use it as a publicity stunt on Austin's podcast."
McMahon appeared on Stone Cold Steve Austin's podcast this week - which was aired live on the WWE Network - and the topic of Punk was spoken about, but obviously they weren't going to talk about the more hard-hitting accusations.
Vince said that it was all a coincidence that his termination papers were delivered on his wedding day, and that McMahon "deeply regretted" it. Let's just say that CM Punk isn't buying it.
"You have my phone number, you have my address. You could text, you could call, you could show up when you're a ten minute drive from my house and apologize like a f*ckin man...It was a publicity stunt, be a man and call me. It's the f*ckin way it is," Punk added.
Punk said he appreciated the sentiment, but didn't think it was sincere. I really doubt that Vince was being sincere and it does all smack of being PR and damage limitation. One thing is clear though, CM Punk won't be back in the WWE for a good while yet if ever.
