From December 1st until December 25th, one goal will be presented each day. The goals in the calendar have all been scored within the since January 1st this year.
The goals have been picked out by a jury of three people after a thorough review of the football year.
For December 5th, we have decided to take a look at Oscar's goal against Stoke City in the FA Cup...
David Luiz's run leaves Asmir Begovic standing on his heels, but that doesn't take anything away from the shot itself. Brilliant curl and placement from Oscar.
Free-kicks from positions like this is often taken with the left foot, and if a right footed player strikes it, it is seldomly scored in the far corner. Overall, a great display of ability from the Brazilian.
It is hard to judge resistance when it comes to free-kicks, however, the fact that David Luiz's run cripples the goalkeeping performance has to be taken into account.
It is likely that Begovic would have reached the ball if he hadn't misplaced his weight. The goal put Chelsea up in the lead, though, and that has to count for something.

The goals have been examined on the following points...
- Plain and simple. The goals have been rated in regard of the skill displayed.
- Resistance includes anything that might have affected the level of the opposition.
If a goal means the difference between win and draw, it has been higher valued than a 7-0 goal scored in the 90th minute. The base quality of the team who conceded has also been taken into account.
