Chris Jericho is one of the best known part-time wrestlers of this generation and has become famous for his returns around Wrestlemania season to put new superstars over, before he returns to tour with his band Fozzie for the rest of the year.
The first ever undisputed WWE Champion returned later than expected this year as he began a feud with Bray Wyatt in May, before leaving just after Summerslam.
Then following Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns injuries he was recalled to help make up the numbers for this year's European Tour, even though he only made one TV appearance where he hosted The Highlight Reel with The Authority.
No Y2J in 2015
It was thought that Jericho would continue to be a part of WWE in the coming weeks whilst they await the returns of both Bryan and Reigns, but he hasn't been a part of proceedings for the past month and he recently confirmed in a question and answer session on Twitter that he will not be at the upcoming Royal Rumble part of Wrestlemania 31.
This is quite a blow for the company given that Wrestemania will already be missing The Undertaker this year, after 21 years of the longest streak in Sports Entertainment. WWE now need to pack Wrestlemania full to the brim with emerging starts in the hope that the biggest show of the year wont be a disappointment.

Fans will upset return has been scrapped
Jericho was a part of Wrestlemania 29 where he faced Fandango in what was judged to be an under-par match but a decent stepping stone for the dancing superstar who had big things expected of him back then.
Since then Jericho did return for the Wyatt feud that was also deemed a pretty big failure, but that was mostly down to the writing more than it was down to either of the wrestlers. YSJ then opened a rivalry with Randy Orton going into Summerslam this year, although that didn't quite catch fire either in all honesty.
This should have continued on the European Tour this year, but Randy went away to film The Condemned 2 so he couldn't play a part in the final UK tour of 2014.
The next few months are quite important for WWE as they build up the Royal Rumble and the road to Wrestlemania and with both The Rock and Chris Jericho pulling out of the showcase of the immortals for next year it seems like WWE will have to pull something special out of their sleeves.
