CM Punk's sensational switch to UFC has only been public knowledge for 48 hours but already the former WWE Superstar has received perhaps the most bizarre call out he will face in his MMA career.
The name Jason David Frank may not ring too many bells but, like CM Punk, he too is looking for his first fight in UFC despite being past what many would consider peak fighting age.
Unlikely call out
That is because for much of his life before deciding to chase his UFC dream Frank was fighting off evil in a lycra suit as the Green Power Ranger. Now though, Frank is hoping to use his former life in kids TV as a selling point - directing a number of social media messages at CM Punk today to urge the UFC to make a fight happen.
Frank, in his first message sent earlier in the day, seemed unhappy that the UFC had allowed Punk straight into the organization despite a distinct lack of fight experience.
The former Power Ranger on the other hand had been working for several years to reach the peak of Mixed Martial Arts.

According to reports the now 40-year-old has a 3-0 amateur MMA record while also claiming a W in his one and only pro fight to date - although that contest took place way back in 2010.
CM Punk must have thought he left behind the weird and wonderful storylines when he quit the WWE this summer. But with this crazy call out from none other than a former Power Ranger he seems to have brought the bizarre twists and turns with him.
In all likelihood it seems highly unlikely that Jason David Frank will get his wish to face up against Pink but you can't blame the guy for trying.
