Washington Redskins have had a terrible season so far. Bottom of the NFC East with a 3-10 record, the Redskins are in turmoil and the blame for their disastrous season has been levelled at several different Washington personnel.
Head coach Jay Gruden has borne the brunt of a lot of criticism and so has original starting quarterback Robert Griffin III, but at the weekend a new member of the Washington staff was slammed for his shocking effort so far this season.
This time it was defensive coordinator Jim Haslett who was slammed, and both the brutal comments and who they came from mean that this story is quite an explosive one.
London Fletcher speaks out
Washington legend London Fletcher was the man to slam Haslett, with Fletcher's comments having a great deal of credibility considering his 15-year stellar career in the NFL, seven seasons of which were spent at the Redskins.
The Redskins' dysfunction is widespread, and while speaking to reporter Dan Steinberg, legendary Washington middle linebacker London Fletcher let Haslett have it.

After Mike Shanahan was fired from the Redskins, Haslett was actually retained. This is despite Washington ranking in the bottom 12 in total defense for the past five years.
Fletcher's comments are definitely explosive when you consider they come from a player that worked under Haslett for four seasons. And things got worse when Steinberg asked Fletcher to elaborate.
The four-time Pro Bowler has every right to make these types of comments. The Redskins have been terrible this season, and everything seems from the outset as fair game.
