Given their important positions within WWE, you might be forgiven for thinking that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would be foolish to take on a new role outside of the company.

But for WWE's Chief Brand Officer and her Executive Vice President of Talent husband, they appear to be more than happy with their decision to become editorial advisers for two leading health and fitness magazines.

Triple H is said to be working with Muscle & Fitness magazine while Stephanie McMahon will be advising Shape magazine on what is best for business.

Fitness fame

It is helpful for the couple that this announcement of their new journalistic roles coincides with the release of their new fitness DVDs, which they just so happen to be promoting on the cover of this month's issue of Muscle & Fitness magazine.

If the recent criticism of WWE towards the end of this year wasn't enough, perhaps this wasn't quite the right time for the power couple to reveal a role which takes them away from the industry which gave them the popularity they have today.

That said, there is no doubt that WWE will remain the priority in both Triple H and Stephanie's lives, and the magazine work will possibly mean they are able to promote WWE further to a wider audience.

Exciting opportunity

WWE.com provided us with an insight into how excited the pair are about their new and different gigs:

"It is an honor to join the team at 'Shape,'" Stephanie said. "This role provides me with the ability to connect with women from all walks of life and share my passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle."

"My approach to fitness training has evolved since my days as a young athlete, and today, I'm in the best shape of my life."

Triple H added: "I share my knowledge and experience regularly as the executive in charge of WWE Talent and look forward to doing the same for the readers of 'Muscle & Fitness.'"

It goes without saying that the magazines also gave some words on how delighted they are to welcome these two WWE figureheads to their businesses.

Given their knowledge and experience, this move will undoubtedly be a good move for Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and will be welcomed by the WWE Universe so long as it does not interfere with the biggest company in professional wrestling.
