World number one, Rory McIlroy, is still picking up trophies for his 2014 collection. The Northern Irishman added the Golf Writers Trophy to his collection for the second time in three years. The voting left few surprised after Rory’s incredible season, which included two major championship wins, the Race to Dubai, and a vital role in
Paul McGinley’s Ryder Cup winning side.

In-form Jordan Spieth has set his eyes on emulating McIlroy in 2015. The American was dominant at last weekend’s Hero World Challenge a week after winning the Australian Open. Describing this as his best year in golf, he is now looking at Rory as he aims to ‘take it to the next level’.

And finally, congratulations to Bernhard Langer who was named Champions Tour player of the year for a record fourth time.
The 57 year old dominated the Senior’s circuit this season with five wins including a 13 stroke victory at the Senior British Open.

That’s all for today, we’ll be back tomorrow but in the meantime you can head to our website at or find on facebook, twitter or instagram. Bye for now.
