The U.S Ryder Cup task force met at the PGA of America’s South Florida headquarters for their first get-together yesterday. The 11 strong group are tasked with ending the Americans’ losing streak in the event. It is believed that Steve Stricker, Davis Love and Rickie Fowler were absent but joined the meeting via conference call.

Rory McIlroy’s legal battle against his former management group has taken another twist after the court heard claims that McIlroy wiped data from up to eight mobile devices which may have contained information important to the case. The case is expect to start early next year and could derail McIlroy’s preparation for the Masters where he will be attempting to become the youngest player to compete the career grand slam.

And finally, anyone that has played can empathise with how this youngster feels after missing a short putt. The bad news for him is that if he carries on playing golf it won’t be that last time he feels this way.

That’s all for today, we’ll be back tomorrow but in the meantime you can head to our website at golfingworld.tv or find on facebook, twitter or instagram. Bye for now.
