Jose Mourinho has quashed speculation linking Andre Schurrle with a move away from Stamford Bridge after insisting that the Germany international remains in his Chelsea plans moving forward. The World Cup winner has been used sparingly by the Portuguese coach so far this season, prompting rumours of a possible departure during the January transfer window. However, speaking after last night's 3-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League, Mourinho was adamant that Schurrle is going nowhere off the back of his man-of-the-match display. The 24-year-old scored the second goal in Wednesday's European encounter and looked like he is approaching full fitness following an extended period of illness which has affected his involvement. Mourinho assured fans that the former Bayer Leverkusen star is adapting better to the Premier League, and that his impressive goal return in over 50 Chelsea appearances is a quality definitely worth keeping.
