The goals have been picked out by a jury of three people after a thorough review of the football year.

When the shot is taken, the balance isn't optimal. The angle from which he shoots is also quite poor.
It would require a considerable outside curl for the ball to find it's way into the net. Evidently, Diego completed that requirement, and scored one of Atletico's most beautiful and important goals of last season.
