As many of you may know by now: Manchester United are not involved in Europe's elite competition this season.
And, before today's draw for the Round of 16, one Red Devils star was reminded of just that. Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky took to Instagram to release quite the humorous picture which read: Not Man United.
Manchester United absent
Rosicky was making reference to the fact that United would not be involved in the draw. The post message from the Arsenal mean, meanwhile, read: Live #ucl draw @robinvanpersie lol.
Van Persie and Rosicky, of course, were teammates at the Emirates before the Dutchman departed the north London club back in 2012. Perhaps, then, the Arsenal man thought it was the ideal time to take a little dig at the man that left his club behind.
Arsenal vs Monaco
And, with the Champions League draw now having taken place, Rosicky and Co. may well be in great spirits after the club avoided one of Europe's big-boys.
After previously meeting German giants Bayern Munich in the same stage for the past two consecutive years, the Gunners will be excited by the prospect of taking on French outfit Monaco in 2015.
It certainly looks set to be an interesting fixture as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger goes head-to-head with his former side.
United on the up
Manchester United, despite not being involved in the draw, will also be feeling quite content with life right now after they secured their sixth straight Premier League victory in a row against rivals Liverpool yesterday.
In fact, it was Van Persie who sealed the game at Old Trafford after his goal gave Louis van Gaal's side a 3-0 win over the struggling Merseyside outfit. Without a doubt, United will be determined to regain their Champions League status next season, but will have to continue their find form under the new regime to bring the big European nights back to the Theatre of Dreams.
