Dez Bryant has huge game against Eagles 

Dallas Cowboys moved to the top of the NFC East last night after defeating division rivals Philadelphia Eagles 38-27.

Dez Bryant was the standout player in the huge win, with the Cowboys star wideout hauling in three sublime touchdowns.

Post-game, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett spoke of his delight at the win and he praised Bryant. 

"One of the things we knew we had to do coming into this ballgame was win outside," Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said. "And no better player to do that than Dez Bryant."

Adrian Peterson makes shock statement 

Sticking with the NFL, and Adrian Peterson revealed over the weekend that he has considered retiring from the NFL after getting charged with child abuse.

"I've considered retiring from the NFL," Peterson said. "I still made $8 million dollars this year. I've thought about getting back into the real estate (business in Texas) I'm already in.

"That's something I've been interested in, something I'm involved in. I've thought about getting back into that. I've thought about going after the Olympics — you only live once."

Kobe Bryant surpasses Michael Jordan 

Across to the NBA, and Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan on the all-time NBA scoring list on Sunday night in the Lakers win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Kobe is now third on the list.

NHL update 

And finally in the NHL, the New York Rangers defeated the Edmonton Oilers 2-0 last night on the road.
