LA Clippers Matt Barnes has taken a swing at the NBA after he received a very strange fine from the league on Saturday night.

Barnes was fined for kicking a water bottle into the stands and using foul language towards fans in the Clippers game on Friday night.

The incident occurred during the Clippers loss to the Washington Wizards as Barnes and the Clippers fell to a 104-96 defeat.

Barnes dramatic outburst earned him a $25,000 fine from the NBA and has apparently caused even more trouble within the Barnes household.

The fine of $25,000 shouldn't be much to player set to make $3 million this year but Barnes has claimed that the NBA have ruined Christmas.

When speaking to TMZ about the fine, Barnes has taken the punishment very personally and gave a strange opinion.

"Taking my kids Christmas away for kicking a paper water cup" - Barnes on his fine from the NBA.

Barnes may be overlooking the fact that he wasn't just fined for the incident with the cup but that hasn't stopped him casting the NBA in the role of the Grinch.

Seeming oblivious to half of the reason behind his fine, Barnes also made some big claims about himself.

"I'm the NBA's bad guy so they want to enforce that"

If Barnes is the bad guy of the league or not is open to interpretation, but he clearly thinks he is and we will have to keep on the lookout for the league's bad guy does next.

Clippers finally stopped

The loss to the Wizards on Friday was the Clippers first loss in nine games and has since then spiralled on.

The Clippers lost to the Wizards on Friday and then to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.

Despite the Clippers losing 111-106, Barnes led the team scoring 26 points on the night as his team fell again.

Now on a two game losing streak, the Clippers now return home for two games against the struggling Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers.

Currently sitting second in the Pacific division and occupying the sixth seed in the Western conference, the Clippers are still doing well this year.

The Clippers are 16-7 this season and will be looking to once again reach the play-offs and hope to do better than they did last season.
