Manchester United star David de Gea has told captain Wayne Rooney and the rest of his Red Devils team-mates that he's staying at the club, despite strong interest from Real Madrid.
De Gea is Madrid's top transfer target and they are reportedly prepared to smash the world transfer record for a goalkeeper to make him their new number one, which is no surprise given his fantastic form over the last 18 months.
The Sun believe any efforts to prise him away from Old Trafford will come up short though, with De Gea firmly focused on putting down roots at United and ready to sign a new deal to prove it.
Five-year deal on the table
De Gea continues to be linked almost every week with Madrid because of his current contract situation, with his current deal at United expiring at the end of next season.
United are making a strong attempt to change that though, with a new five-year offer worth a whopping £34.6 million on the table and negotiations thought to be ongoing.

150th appearance will come this weekend
The 24-year-old is without question one of the driving forces behind United's tremendous recent run, which has despite some indifferent displays produced six consecutive Premier League victories.
Last weekend's 3-0 victory over Liverpool was a prime example of just how De Gea has improved as a player since arriving at the Theatre of Dreams, making a string of point-blank saves from the likes of Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli to keep a hard-fought clean sheet.
It's not too often a 3-0 win sees any goalkeeper claim the man of the match award, but De Gea was an absolute shoe-in for that accolade last weekend.
The Spanish stopper will make his 150th appearance against Aston Villa this weekend, a milestone which should soon be followed by an announcement over his future that United fans will be absolutely delighted about.
