Former WWE tag-team champion Shelton Benjamin has admitted that he could return to the industry in the future, reports wrestlinginc.com.
Benjamin, who was released by the organization in 2010, has insisted that he would be open to a comeback if a call was made.
There have been a number of rumours regarding a possible return for Benjamin for some time, and now the ex-Intercontinental champion has given his biggest hint yet that he will reappear to in-ring action with WWE.
The 39-year-old, who was in attendance at the Reality of Wrestling event put on by wrestling legend Booker T, was more than happy to address the situation, but has admitted that he doesn't know many of the current superstars in the WWE roster.
Benjamin has told the WWE Universe to 'stay tuned', whilst he's also admitted that he would be interested in working with the tag-team title holders, but would also want to work with the World Heavyweight Champion.
Charlie Haas, meanwhile, has insisted that he's now semi-retired and wouldn't be willing to make a return to the industry. The former WWE man has, however, backed Benjamin to go back, admitting that he would like to watch his partner battle Brock Lesnar at the top.
The duo also discussed the upcoming talent in NXT, and insisted that Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor have a great future in the industry. In fact, they suggested that Balor is the future as he continues to make a name for himself on the wrestling scene.
It remains to be seen, however, as to whether the likes of Vince McMahon and Co. opt to bring Benjamin back anytime soon, but it certainly appears to be something that could take place.
