There's no doubt about it, AJ Lee has transformed the women's division over the course of the past couple of years, but it appears that the former Divas champion could finally be on her way out of WWE.
As reported by wrestlezone.com, current champion Nikki Bella has seemingly hinted that Lee is finally done with the industry after initially surrendering her title at Survivor Series and then losing to the Bella twin in a rematch at TLC.
In fact, during a Super SmackDown backstage video interview, Nikki insisted that she had finally finished off her rival, as she stated:
"I'm just very happy and proud of myself because I've finally finished AJ Lee off once and for all."
Of course, these comments can be taken in one of two ways; Lee, of course, has been involved in the last six championship matches that ultimately saw the title change hands.
However, after a failed attempt to win back the championship against Nikki at the last pay-per-view event, perhaps her dominant period in the organization is finally coming to an end.
But, there could be even more to Nikki's comments than just that. After all, rumours have been circulating for some time now that Lee is set to leave the industry, with recent activity only fuelling them even more.
CM Punk saga
The whole CM Punk debacle has been long discussed, too, with AJ Lee the wife of the former WWE superstar. With that issue now seemingly put to bed, however, Vince McMahon and Co. will most certainly be hoping to move on, but it remains to be seen as to whether Lee will be part of their plans.
Lee, though, is clearly one of the most talented Divas in the company, so it would prove a bizarre move if the hierarchy looked to move her on in 2015.
