Mariah Carey, Slade and Band Aid have all topped the charts around the festive period to such an extent that a Christmas without hearing their songs in one public place or another is simply impossible.

But soon, there could be a new member amongst that group with YouTube phenomenon the Wealdstone Raider, real name Gordon Hill, embarking on a quest for chart success.

His single, entitled rather typically "You've Got No Fans," has entered the charts at number 37 and the sky could be the limit  for the newest addition to the musical scene.

YouTube sensation

The Wealdstone Raider first shot to fame when a video of him mocking opposition fans and threatening to "give some" to a fellow football fanatic appeared on the internet.

It has since clocked up over five million views on the site, and also recently led to a Dutch side to unveil a huge banner in his honour.

The footage has also led to many virals and remixs in tribute to the fearless fan, who is now aiming to pip Simon Cowell's X Factor winner Ben Haenow to the Christmas number one single.

Chart battle

His single is already in the charts and any profits will be split between Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, Wealdstone Raiders Youth FC and Autism Concern.

There is also talk of the football terrace star appearing in the new version of Celebrity Big Brother alongside Katie Hopkins and Callum Best, the son of Manchester United legend George.

The Wealdstone Raider is coming to a shopping centre, pub, nightclub and any other public place near you. If you want some, help buy the single to boost his quest for chart glory!
