Manchester United back in for Wesley Sneijder

Published Add your comment

Louis van Gaal has been warned against a January move for Wesley Sneijder after Jan Aage Fjortoft posted on Twitter that it would not be a great Christmas present for Manchester United fans. The European football expert clearly thinks that the Dutch midfielder is past his best, and that the Red Devils should think carefully before entering negotiations with Galatasaray. Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech believes the skullcap he's adopted for matches prevented himself and team-mate Kurt Zouma from suffering serious head injuries against Derby County. The Blues defender was stretchered off after lengthy treatment in Tuesday's Capital One Cup victory at the iPro Stadium, but thankfully suffered nothing more than a small cut and dizziness after the final whistle - and Cech is adamant it was the headguard that saved him. And finally, injured midfielder Mesut Ozil believes his side's tendency to concede 'unnecessary goals' is Arsenal's biggest weakness.
