CM Punk has become the most searched and most talked about wrestler this year. His acrimonious exit from WWE has left the company in turmoil and his own career has taken a massive twist, with the former indie darling signing for UFC this month.
But what most fans in the WWE Universe want to know is whether or not CM Punk will ever return to the wrestling company.
And on Friday, CM Punk made a surprising statement about the possibility of him ever returning to the WWE. Rather than stating like he previously has that he will 'never ever ever return', Punk showed his mind is changing ever so slightly.
Anything is possible
“You asked if I’m going back to WWE, and my answer now is I can’t be sure," CM Punk revealed this week in an interview on Sirius XM's Opie with Jim Norton. "I don’t want to be the guy who says ‘never say never,’ I don’t plan [to go back], but I can’t tell the future. Something could happen, but I personally don’t see it.”
Rather than definitely not returning, Punk is now under the status of probably never returning. It's still not promising, but at least it's some kind of improvement for Punk lovers.

The superstar has plenty of other things on his mind rather than WWE now, with UFC fights to look forward to in 2015. And following his controversial comments on Colt Cabana's The Art of Wrestling Podcast last month, Punk says he's ready to let WWE simply be in his past for now.
“Here’s my take on that, I don’t want to be that old, bitter guy, I don’t have a whole lot of nice things to say about WWE, and they don’t have whole lot of nice things to say about me," Punk added.
"But I’m willing to be like ‘Alright, great. We had some laughs, I’ll see you around. You leave me alone, I’ll leave you alone.
"I don’t know if you can tell that I’m kind of uncomfortable talking about it right now, but I know I can’t escape that, that’s my past. I’m not trying to say wrestling sucks, I’m not trying to pretend I was never there. I would like to try to move on. It happened. They weren’t perfect, I wasn’t perfect. So, let’s just move on.”
