Chelsea travel to Stoke to take on the Potters at the Britannia Stadium on Monday night with the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table back to three points.
Manchester City drew level on points with Jose Mourinho's side after their 3-0 home win over Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Mourinho is more than likely going to recall Thibaut Courtois to his starting lineup as the Belgian keeper is recovered from the problem that forced him to miss two games.
Kurt Zouma, who suffered a nasty head injury in a collision with Petr Cech during Chelsea's Capital One Cup victory over Derby County, is fit to play although expect Gary Cahill and John Terry to marshal the back-line.
Didier Drogba is also fit, but he'll likely play a bench role to first-choice Diego Costa. Chelsea have no other injury concerns, so Mourinho will be able to call on a strong team to face 13th-placed Stoke.
Stoke team news
As for Stoke, Mark Hughes will be pleased to see Bojan Krkic progressing well in his recovery from an injury suffered against Crystal Palace last weekend.
Another Barcelona product now plying his trade in the Potteries, Marc Muniesa, is also back and available for selection.
Stoke have proved tough to beat at the Britannia this season, turning over Arsenal two weeks ago while they also have an eye-catching win over Manchester City at the Etihad on their season's resume.
Unfortunately, disappointing results against the teams around them have tempered a prospective rise into the top half of the table.
As for Chelsea, it's another stern test of their title credentials, but so far they've past every one but their trip to Newcastle. That day they were missing Nemanja Matic, hailed this season as a key cog in a creative Blues midfield.
Let's see if they can get a better result with him in the team tonight.
Chelsea predicted XI vs. Stoke City...
