The Authority were officially put out of action at Survivor Series just under a month ago and since then WWE has lacked quality storyline building and a lot of character.
Stephanie and Triple H were hated when they were at the helm of WWE because they were the "bad guys" that have to be present in every Cinderella Story and last month they were finally put out of power, much to the delight of the WWE Universe.
But could they be set for a sensational return? Vince McMahon put the option to bring the power couple back firmly in John Cena's hands and WWE never do anything coincidentally.
Seth Rollins has been making a song and dance about needing The Authority back for the past few weeks which was predictable, given that he has lost a lot of credibility since they left, but why does he keep bringing up Sting?
Yes the former WCW Legend is a big pull for WWE and the company could just be reminding fans that he is there waiting in the wings to make his in ring WWE debut, or they could be building something bigger.

Seth Rollins declared that he wasn't going to allow John Cena to do anything, including winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at The Royal Rumble, until he brings back The Authority, which means this could all lead to an ultimatum.
At some point the 15 time World Champion is going to get sick of Rollins meddling in his business and tell him that The Authority can return, but he will then lay down his own rules.
Could he set Triple H up to face an opponent of his choice at Wrestlemania 31? And could that opponent be Sting? Could this be the way WWE are going to set up the Wrestlemania main event? This way Undertaker could still return to face Bray as it's been rumoured and he could slot in and not be the main focus.
This is dependant on The Deadman's physical state, all that we know for now is that Rollins is dropping a lot of hints and if Triple H wins at Mania under these stipulations, The Authority would be back and stronger than ever.
