Tonight is the final Raw of 2014 and the WWE Universe is excited to see the return of one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history, as Edge and Christian return as joint general managers.

The excitement may wear thin when fans realize that once again WWE have double booked their final show of the year, meaning that some of the top superstars will not be in attendance.

Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt are listed as two absentees as they are a part of the live event in Virginia tonight, this means that there will be no follow up to their feud after Bray attacked Dean on SmackDown and Ambrose fought back to stand tall at the end of the night.

Missed opportunity

Luckily WWE still have enough time to build this feud if they want another face off at The Royal Rumble, but with most fans it could be a case of out of sight out of mind and the company has missed a massive chance to capitalize on their rivalry.

Roman Reigns is another noted absentee after his return only weeks ago, Roman started a rivalry with The Big Show which will also not be continued tonight. Hopefully the first Raw of 2015 will see Reigns moved into a more appropriate feud.

The Usos will also be missing tonight which means their budding issues with The Miz and Mizdow obviously wont see any further action. Naomi could still be a part of Raw and continue the storyline without them, but without Jey there is no other side to this story.

Poor end to a tumultuous year

Kane, Goldust and Stardust make up the list of superstars set to be apart of the show in Virginia whilst Raw is live from Washington tonight. Even though there are many recorded absences, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is still set to be in attendance, as is Seth Rollins, John Cena and The Big Show.

Tonight will be nothing more than a filler Raw to end the year will a lot of comedy fro the guest hosts. WWE again have extended themselves to far without leaving any back up. Hopefully they will learn from this if tonight's Raw turns into the disaster it is billed to be. But this isn't the first time WWE have done this and it's definitely not going to be the last.
