Nobody would have expected Damien Sandow to be over with the crowd as much as he is ever since he failed to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on John Cena, but a change of character and becoming a stunt double to The Miz has worked wonders for him.
Right now Damien Mizdow is more over than The Miz and fans have picked up on the tension brewing between the WWE Tag Team Champions. It’s obvious that one will turn on the other and right now it looks as if it will be Damien Mizdow who turns face and enters a feud with The Miz. For that to happen, the duo need to drop the WWE Tag Team Championships.
The state of the tag team division isn’t great, there was a lot of promise especially when The Shield were brought up to the main roster and Luke Harper and Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family looked likely to become the champions but that didn’t come to fruition.
Sooner or later the champions will be dropping their titles so it raises the question – who could dethrone the champions? Goldust and Stardust probably won’t recapture the title any time soon, especially if creative listen to the WWE Universe and give them what they want, a feud between Goldust and Cody Rhodes whilst Los Matadores don’t look like becoming champions any time soon and neither do Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil.
Here are the three teams I believe should be considered to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

If a team is to regain their championship titles it probably will be The Usos because the brothers are reliable. They’re always entertaining inside of the ring and even though they probably are getting a bit stale now, they make up for it with their personalities and their move-sets; they always perform brilliantly on pay-per-views and step up in title defences.
There’s something new being stirred up in the current feud between The Miz and Damien Mizdow and The Usos and Naomi could play a big role in The Usos becoming the new WWE Tag Team Champions. Right now the fans will definitely want Miz and Mizdow to remain champions unless a break-up is coming, if they remain together than realistically they should keep hold of their championships. But if the WWE want a quick fix, a reliable option then The Usos would be the way to go.
THE MASTERS OF THE WWE UNIVERSE
The newest team to be formed in the tag team division consisting of Cesaro and Tyson Kidd, the two most underrated superstars in the WWE right now. It’s great that the two are getting some TV time now as Kidd is doing some of his best work with his new gimmick and Cesaro looks to remain relevant after his sudden fall from grace, but the two can work inside the ring and there’s only one way to ensure that they’re a genuinely strong tag team.
That would be to capture the WWE Tag Team Championships, they’re experienced, they have contrasting looks which looks great in the ring, they have the chemistry and they act like internet ‘smarks’ which the fans will absolutely love. If they can capture the gold then they will become a solid team and not one that competes for a few weeks and disappear without explanation.
The team that every NXT fan will love to see wreak havoc on the main roster. Konnor and Viktor have been groomed to be a dominant force whenever they hit the main roster and they’ve already shown that they’re capable of being champions for a lengthy period when they were the NXT Tag Team Champions. They will already be the favourite team to dethrone The Miz and Damien Mizdow which could take place in a match involving more two teams at WrestleMania.
If The Ascension are to be thought of as a true dominant force, then they need to make an instant impact on Monday Night Raw and although that will probably mean they go undefeated for a while, a title push needs to happen in the coming months and they will need to hold on to the gold for a very long time.
