Often in WWE, title changes occur at pay-per-view events as they are so important, but last night we were treated to a title match on the last episode of Monday Night Raw for 2014.
Prior to the action-packed edition of the show, it was revealed that The Usos would be battling it out against The Miz and Damien Mizdow for the WWE Tag Team Championship later on in the evening.
Though this was not a normal type of match to be scheduled for Raw, there were a lot of shocks during the final episode of the show for the year, so it didn't come as too much of a surprise.
In addition, none other than tag team legends Edge and Christian were guest hosts for the programme, making this title match even more important as they reiterated just how great a strong tag team can be.
As with the rest of the occurrances in the show, the WWE Universe were not disappointed by this bout. Both tag teams created an impressive display and it really was difficult to call who were going to end 2014 as Tag Team Champions.
After an end-to-end match which showcased the best of the talented WWE Superstars within the tag team division, The Usos managed to win the WWE Tag Team Championship for the second time in their career, topping off what has been an impressive year from them.
Elsewhere in what was deemed to be the best episode of Monday Night Raw for weeks, we saw Daniel Bryan make the long-awaited announcement regarding his return.
Much to the delight of many WWE fans, everyone's favourite 'yes!' man revealed that he will be back in action at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in January and with him having been out for so long, it will be interesting to see what WWE's next move is for Daniel Bryan.
As well as this, Monday Night Raw this week also saw the return of Bad News Barrett and The Authority.
Having already attacked co-host Christian with his Money in the Bank briefcase, Seth Rollins proceeded to threaten Edge with a Curb Stomp onto the briefcase and break his neck.
The only way Edge could prevent yet another injury was by John Cena agreeing to bring back The Authority; a sly input of blackmail by Rollins, which left Cena with no choice.
Monday Night Raw therefore ended with Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon waltzing back into WWE with the most smug looks on their faces; it was as if they had never left.
