Number 4 is Real Madrid’s 4-1 Champions League victory over city rivals Atletico and their long pursuit of La Decima finally being achieved. Luis Suarez’s infamous bite on Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay’s World Cup group match against Italy makes it into our top 3. Coming in at number 2 is Germany’s World Cup triumph as Mario Gotze came off the bench to score the winning goal and secure a fourth world title. Finally number 1 is the score line that sent shockwaves around the world, Brazil 1 Germany 7! The Germans ran riot to go 5-0 up within the first 29 minutes of this World Cup Semi-Final in what turned out to be Brazil’s first competitive home defeat for 39 years.
